FAQs

  • Festivities begin in Assisi the afternoon of July 18 and you can head out any time Sunday, July 21.

We have a weekend timeline page that has details of the weekend flow!

We'll also be sending a reminder email each morning (with surprises!) to let you know the schedule for the day. YAY.

  • FLYING

The closest major airports are Rome (FCO) and Florence (FLR), and from there you can take a train or drive (~2.5 hours).

Flying within Europe? Consider flying into Perugia airport (PEG).

    TRAINING

We love taking the train in Italy! Depending where your travels take you, you can train into Assisi (closer to venue, with fewer, local service) or Foligno (larger station, with more, high speed service).

We recommend booking train travel through Italia Rail (https://www.italiarail.com/).  If traveling to/from Rome, then please see the recommended trains below.  For all other cities or for additional train options, use the website.  There is train service between Rome Airport and Roma Termini – the ride is 22 minutes but please check train schedule to ensure you arrive in time for your train to Assisi.  If you have time, take advantage of the lockers at Roma Termini and explore Rome for a bit!

Looking for car service to/from Rome? Let us know in your RSVP form so we can help you plan!

  • Transportation will be provided for you throughout the wedding weekend to/from events, but there will be some parking available if you have a car from your travels.

If you decide to bring a car to Assisi, let us know in the RSVP form so we can plan accordingly!

Also, you “need” an international driver’s license to rent a car (or you run the risk of being fined if you get puled over… don’t say we didn’t warn you! )

  • There are no Ubers in Assisi, but we have transportation planned for each event and will have dedicated taxi service for the wedding.

Alternatively, you can book your own taxi. The preferred taxi service of the venue is Francesco Angeli Taxi Co., though there are others.  Taxi service is readily available during the day from Assisi train station and Francesco Angeli Taxi Co. can be called by the front desk or reached via WhatsApp.  Only pre-arranged taxis are available at night.

  • We’re covering accomodations for everyone on-site and at a nearby agriturismo.

As you RSVP, we will let you know what your assigned rooming is, nothing else needed from you! Both options have AC :)

Please reach out if there any questions or concerns in the meantime. If you would prefer to stay offsite at the agriturismo please let us know.

If you’d like to book your own accomodations, you will need to coordinate all travel to/from wedding activities. Please reach out directly if you would rather this opton.

  • Arianna loves a theme party and put together a mood board for each major activity (linked)

In addition to your event outfits, plan to pack a wardrobe for weather in the 90s and shoes which are easy to traverse grass and uneven surfaces.

Reach out to Arianna with any questions!

  • Everyone will be able to enjoy the venue facilities - there’s a tennis court, pool, and nature trails.

On Friday, you can plan to explore Assisi or take advantage of one of the classes the venue offers. Activities include:

    • Cooking competition aka the newly combined pasta making class + wine tasting ($40 pp - hosted by venue)

    • Explore Assisi (free.99 - we will coordinate you to/from)

  • The greatest gift you could give us is to join us! However, our parents told us that we needed to set something up. We’ve compromised on a honeymoon / future home fund

  • Don’t forget your passport, your happy pants, and to remember that things move slower in Italy… and that’s ok :)

If you have any additional questions, please reach out directly to Dan or Arianna, or email frommnowon@gmail.com
